We are looking for multiple Group Fitness Instructors on a part-time basis company wide!

Job Summary: 

Prepare and lead group fitness (GX) classes ensuring and reporting on accurate participation rates and safety of members

Accountabilities: 

  1. If choosing to work at multiple locations, maintain ability to travel to chosen locations while maintaining a valid driver’s license and insurance 
  2. Lead no less than two (2) scheduled shifts/classes per week 
  3. Lead no less than two (2) classes per calendar month as a substitute for another Group Fit employee 
  4. Lead no more than three (3) classes per day including any classes lead as a substitute for another Group Fit employee 
  5. Maintain on going education to provide the newest education and training to members 
  6. Report difficult or emotional customer situations 
  7. Timely and accurately report member or self-injury using appropriate forms and communication methods 
  8. Timely and accurately clock in for all work; report all time worked and expenses 
  9. Performs administrative duties upon class cancellation such as cleaning mirrors, re-racking weights, checking and refilling paper towel dispensers, sweep floors, discard rubbish, wipe down tanning or hydro-beds, or other similar tasks 
  10. Ability to communicate effectively with members, coworkers and supervisor verbally and in writing 
  11. Participates in regular cleaning and sterilizing of work and office areas as required
  12. Enforces and reports violations of physical distancing and any other health and safety ordinance, order, law or regulation to manager, safety committee member or Compliance
  13. Follows all health and safety requirements such as, but not limited to, physical distancing, regular surface cleaning, cough/sneeze etiquette, regular hand washing, and not coming to work when sick
  14. Promptly and thoroughly reviews all requested health and safety training provided, asking questions for any topic not clearly understood
  15. Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner 
  16. Maintains a regular and predictable attendance 
  17. Other tasks as assigned 
 
Qualifications: 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age  
  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Zero to two years of experience in leading group fitness classes (qualifies for I) 
  • Current CPR/AED/FIRST AID Certification (within 60 days of employment and company paid)
 
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Ability to develop new class routines
  • Proficiency and honesty in time keeping
  • Expense reporting and member tracking
  • Ability to adhere to all departmental and company guidelines and processes  
 
 Availability: 

  • Part-time – very accommodating to your schedule,
  • Ability to work Monday – Sunday, hours available vary 
  • Ability to work a minimum of 2 classes per week 
  • Ability to work as a substitute a minimum of 2 classes per calendar month
